Checklist

  1. Confirm Browser engine health in Settings.
  2. Confirm the Open Browser profile still exists.
  3. Open the failed node’s diagnostics.
  4. Check current URL/page title and unexpected-navigation warning.
  5. Read locator attempts and match counts in order.
  6. Review console errors and failed network requests.
  7. Open the retained screenshot/trace when available.
  8. Retry headed or re-record only after identifying what changed.
Zero matches usually means wrong page state or changed semantics. Multiple matches require a more specific accessible label or stable attribute. A timeout after a correct click usually needs an explicit Wait For condition, not a longer arbitrary delay. Uploads/downloads also require an approved file/folder and size limit. A trusted path must come from a picker or compatible path output.
