An update must come from the immutable repository release tag and published manifest. The downloads page shows artifact size, checksum, and the available verification mechanism.
The beta installer is downloaded through your system browser. Close sndbox, run the downloaded installer, and confirm its version and SHA-256 digest on the downloads page before installation. Automatic in-place installation is not enabled for unsigned beta builds.
sndbox checks at startup, when the device comes back online, when the app returns to the foreground, and every 30 minutes while it remains open. Dismissing a notice hides that version for 24 hours; Check now reveals an available build immediately.
Beta and updates
Check the installed build and choose stable or prerelease update discovery.
The page shows the installed version and provides Check for updates. Use Check now to see whether the installed build is current, whether the release feed failed, or whether a newer version exists. When a newer build is available, the sidebar action shows its version and opens the matching Windows installer download. If no Windows installer is attached, it opens the immutable GitHub release page instead.
