Workflow state and change detection - sndbox docs

Workflow state is scoped to one workflow. It is useful for cursors, last-seen values, and change detection that must survive separate runs.

State nodes

Get Workflow State returns value and found, using defaultValue when the key is absent.
Set Workflow State stages a value under one key.
Compare With Previous returns changed, previous, and current, then stages the current value.

Normalization options are exact (none), trim, lowercase (trim and lowercase), and collapse_whitespace.

Commit rule

State changes commit only after the complete workflow succeeds. If a later node fails, a comparison value is not advanced. A node test previews state behavior without committing it. This rule prevents a failed notification or downstream action from causing the next run to believe the change was already processed.
