Open Settings → Browser to inspect engine health and manage profiles. A profile contains a name, persistence mode, local data path, viewport, optional download folder, proxy, user agent, and permission list.

Persistent and ephemeral profiles

A persistent profile can retain site state between local sessions. An ephemeral profile begins without retained state. Duplicate a profile when two workflows need independent browser identity or policy. Available profile actions are create, edit, duplicate, open, clear, and delete. Clearing removes retained local state; deleting also removes the profile reference, so review workflows that select it.

Open Browser settings

The Open Browser node chooses one profile and supports:
  • optional initial URL;
  • viewport width 320–3840 and height 240–2160;
  • default timeout 100–120000 ms;
  • headed mode for manual runs;
  • automatic cleanup; and
  • a bounded maximum session duration.
Scheduled runs default to headless. A browser profile must exist before the node can run.

Engine health

The Browser settings page reports availability, protocol version, sidecar version, browser name/version, and an error when startup fails. Use Restart engine before changing a workflow when the runtime itself is unhealthy.

Cloud profile boundary

Local profiles are never uploaded automatically. Cloud profile import is explicit, expiring, audited, and rejects saved-password content. Reauthentication is recommended after import.
