sndbox currently implements 54 built-in nodes across triggers, logic, data, network, browser, communication, and system automation. These pages are generated from src/catalogue.ts; names, type IDs, defaults, typed ports, side-effect flags, and supported placements are not hand-copied.
Start with a trigger, connect compatible ports, and map outputs into later node fields. The node inspector only shows settings implemented by that node.

How nodes fit together

A workflow combines two separate kinds of connection: Drawing an edge does not automatically map every output. Open the destination node and use its mapping control to select the exact source and path. A source must be upstream on the active control path, and its port type must be compatible with the destination.

A reliable starting pattern

  1. Add exactly one trigger and test it with the smallest useful event.
  2. Add read-only nodes first, such as HTTP Request, Read File, or Extract Data.
  3. Test and inspect their real output shapes before creating mappings.
  4. Add Condition or validation steps before nodes that write, send, delete, or execute.
  5. Review permissions, run the complete workflow, and inspect execution evidence.
  6. Only then replace Manual Trigger with Schedule Trigger or another automatic trigger.

Read a node page

Every reference page includes:
  • concrete use cases and an end-to-end example;
  • the exact implemented defaults and supported option values;
  • typed input and output ports;
  • runtime placement and side-effect status;
  • behavior, failure guidance, and links to deeper concept guides.
The Default node configuration block is the exact generated storage shape. Example settings blocks focus on the fields relevant to the scenario and can contain illustrative IDs or shortened recorded locators.
A node without the catalogue’s generic side-effect flag is not automatically read-only. An HTTP mutation or browser click can still change an external system. Review the configured method, target, account, and downstream effect.
