Validate, test, sign, and inspect before submission. publish accepts a verified package and uses its package-integrity digest as the request idempotency key.
You can use --api and --token instead of environment variables, but avoid shell history and logs for the token. Submission creates a new review object; it does not overwrite an approved version. Review states are Draft, Submitted, Automated review, Manual review, Changes requested, Approved/Rejected, Published, Suspended, and Removed.

Publisher expectations

  • minimize capabilities and domains;
  • document data handling and external side effects;
  • provide a privacy policy when required;
  • inventory dependencies and reproduce builds where practical;
  • test migrations, idempotency, and provider errors; and
  • redact diagnostics.
Publisher verification confirms identity/listing control; it is not an endorsement or safety guarantee.

Versions and migration

Never reuse a published version. Patch releases are compatible fixes, minor releases are additive, and major releases can break behavior or storage isolation. A node contract change uses a new positive nodeVersion and explicit migration handler. Active published workflows do not migrate in place.
