# Revisions and publishing

> Keep workflow history immutable and publish the exact revision that reviewers approved.

Every content-changing save creates an immutable revision with a content hash and parent relationship. Restoring history creates a new head revision; old runs and revisions are not rewritten.

## Local revision history

Open **Revisions** in the editor to review change summaries and restore an earlier definition. The current marker identifies the draft used for the next local run.

## Workspace publication

For a cloud workspace, editing advances the draft while the published pointer remains unchanged. Publication follows this sequence:

1. Submit the exact current draft for approval.
2. Collect the number of distinct approval votes required by workspace policy.
3. Verify every pinned plugin ID, version, and package integrity is enabled.
4. Publish with a change summary.

Rejection returns the revision with a recorded reason. Rollback chooses a previously published revision and records both the previous and restored identities in the audit log.

## Why the hash matters

Runner commands include the approved revision identity and content hash. A runner hashes the executable workflow locally before it accepts the signed command. A changed definition cannot borrow another revision's approval.
