# CSV

> Parse a selected file or mapped CSV text into headers and structured rows.

Parse CSV accepts an optional approved `path` and a `content` string. Mapped content takes precedence over the file.

```json title="Parser configuration" theme={"system"}
{
  "path": "",
  "content": "name,status\nAda,active",
  "delimiter": ",",
  "hasHeaders": true,
  "trim": true
}
```

Outputs are `headers` (array), `rows` (array), and `rowCount` (number). With headers enabled, each row can be addressed by its header name. Without headers, preserve the positional structure returned by the test output.

## Common workflow

```text theme={"system"}
Download File → Parse CSV → Condition(rowCount > 0) → Move File
```

The delimiter editor accepts one character. Enable trimming when surrounding whitespace is not meaningful. A malformed file fails the parser node and leaves its real input and error available in the execution inspector.
