# Billing and cloud credit

> Add prepaid credit, understand the live rate card, and review settled cloud usage.

Managed cloud resources use prepaid cloud credit. Add an amount between **$5 and $500** on **Plan & billing**; checkout is handled by the configured payment provider and card details do not pass through sndbox servers.

No subscription is required to add cloud credit. A subscription or plan can still provide separate entitlements or included usage.

## Live rate card

The Billing page renders the rates returned for the account. The current rate card is:

Use the rate card shown in the account for a purchase decision. Product configuration is authoritative, so reviewed rates can change without a desktop-app release.

## What draws from the balance

* Managed hosted runner time.
* Managed browser worker time.
* Network egress from managed infrastructure.
* Retained artifact storage.

Local desktop runs and self-hosted Linux runners stay unmetered. Credentials and API tokens are also not metered.

## Balance and history

The balance card estimates remaining runner and browser time at the current rates. It is a runway estimate, not a reservation: network, storage, and concurrent managed activity can change the actual duration.

**Credit history** records top-ups, refunds, adjustments, and settled cloud usage. Usage deductions are based on matched reconciled ledger evidence. A pending or uncertain event is not presented as settled usage.

  sndbox bills managed infrastructure, not workflow count. A workflow that waits without holding an active managed resource does not automatically incur compute for its entire wall-clock lifetime.
